Do you own or use a Nord Piano 5?
Well, apparently, Nord has switched distributors in the U.K. Normally, I wouldn’t make a blog article about such an event as this kind of thing is typically done for reasons beyond the scope of my purview or concern. That is, until it affects how the Nord community gets their training. The original U.K. distributor was Sound Technology Ltd. The new distributor is Headline Audio.
So, it just so happens that the original distributor created a YouTube series of training videos for the Nord Piano 5 called “Speedy Tutorials.” This series of short videos was a great help to the Nord community who wanted to get some form of training/tutorial for the Nord Piano 5. Apparently, all those videos that were once publicly available on YouTube are now marked as “Private” and completely unavailable via the Nord website or anywhere online. Again, normally I wouldn’t make a blog article about such a thing – especially if I had a Nord Piano 5 training course available. However, I don’t yet have a course available for this keyboard and people have been finding me on YouTube and asking me if I can make one. I do plan on making one in early 2024, but the priority is to finish the Nord Stage 4 course first.
What can be done about this situation for all those people who find themselves with a brand-new Nord Piano 5 and limited to no video training for it? Since I have a Nord Piano 5 at my fingertips (I traded the old Nord Stage 3 76 for it), I figured maybe I could do “something” to offer the community that could really help a person brand new to Nord and the Nord Piano 5. So, I created a 26-minute “getting started” video to go over all the basics of the Nord Piano 5, and I have that video available for sale on my Patreon site as a one-time temporary solution ahead of an official full-featured course down the road. Obviously, not everyone here has a Nord Piano 5, but for those that do, there is “some form of a solution” available in the marketplace. You can find the training video here.
